This wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, a grape variety known for its deep colour, firm structure and dark-fruit aromas. In this Essence expression, Cabernet Sauvignon shows its richer and more refined side. The wine is full-bodied and concentrated, yet retains enough freshness and balance to remain elegant.

Grapes from Upper Galilee and the Ephraim Mountains

The grapes for this wine come from two selected wine-growing areas in Israel: Upper Galilee and the Ephraim Mountains. Each area contributes its own character. Upper Galilee is known for its higher-elevation vineyards and favourable conditions for quality grapes, while the Ephraim Mountains add further structure and concentration. Together, these origins produce a deep, full and complex wine.

Aged 18 months in oak

After vinification, Teperberg Essence Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 18 months in oak barrels. This extended ageing adds complexity and contributes notes of toasted oak, coffee and subtle earthy nuances. The oak supports the ripe fruit without overpowering it and adds to the wine’s rich structure and long finish.

Serving and storage

Serve Teperberg Essence Cabernet Sauvignon at around 16–18°C. For a wine of this style, it can be worthwhile opening the bottle 30–60 minutes before serving or decanting it. This gives the aromas and flavours more room to develop. Store the bottle horizontally in a cool, dark place with as stable a temperature as possible.
