Full-bodied, firm red wine whose vineyards are located in the coastal plains of Israel. The grapes get a lot of solar heat and you can taste that. Red meat dishes, pâté, hard cheeses, nuts, and pasta dishes go well with this wine.
Colour: bright garnet red
Smell: forest fruits with herbs/spices. Think black pepper, licorice root, coriander seeds and a hint of bay leaf and cloves.
Taste: Still ample tannin, full, firm taste in which the odor impressions are reflected.
Finish: Long
Wine/food: A nice piece of red meat, country pâté, red cabbage dish with pulled pork, hare pepper, game dishes such as hare, duck or the more exotic species, hash, spiced meat in a rich sauce based on tomato, kibbling and lots of hard cheeses (also Frisian clove cheese)
Note: Open 30-45 minutes before serving
