Olive Wood Mezuzah with Star of David and Jerusalem 12.5 x 3 cm

Handmade Olive Wood Mezuzah from Bethlehem

This beautiful mezuzah is handcrafted from olive wood by Arab Christians in Bethlehem. It is decorated with a Star of David and an image of Jerusalem, two designs closely connected to the Jewish faith and Israel. The natural wood grain gives each mezuzah its own unique appearance.

According to Jewish tradition, a mezuzah is placed on the right-hand doorpost when entering a home or room. Traditionally, it contains a parchment scroll with passages from Deuteronomy 6:4-9 and 11:13-21, including the well-known Shema Yisrael: "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one."

In Jewish tradition, the mezuzah is usually attached to the upper third of the right-hand doorpost. In many Jewish homes, it is customary to briefly touch the mezuzah when entering or leaving.

This handmade mezuzah from Bethlehem makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who feels connected to Israel, Jerusalem and biblical traditions. An explanatory booklet is included.
